Mid-term evaluation of the Tumen River international waters and biodiversity project covering China, North and South Korea, Russia and Mongolia. Visited sites and institutions in Changchun, Hothot and Beijing. Found little evidence of natural resources management in China. Livestock ownership had been privatized in Inner Mongolia and Mongolia, rangelands remained state property and there were no controls over livestock numbers and use resulting in dust storms that closed down or severely restricted the computer chip and ship building industries in South Korea.
