Project Evaluation CBNRM Specialist on the final evaluations of two USAID-funded biodiversity projects. Found that the project design and project monitoring performance plans were weak. The two projects were focused on livelihood enhancement without meaningful indicators and monitoring system for showing linkages to biodiversity conservation. No clear linkages could be established. Developed a concept showing that co-management of miombo stands on the margins of Nyika National Park could generate over $700,000 in revenues/yr — plenty to create major incentives for co-management partnerships with communities and to contribute to management costs of the park — 2013
