Mid-term evaluation of the Tumen River international waters and biodiversity project covering China, North and South Korea, Russia and Mongolia. International waters component was ineffective because China would not release data on pollutants in the Tumen River and North Korea participated only marginally in the project. I visited Vladivostok and Moscow in Russia. Was unable to visit a site near Lake Baikal because a late spring snow storm had closed the airport.
