Design of sustainable land management project I provided training and technical backstopping for the development of a UNDP/GEF medium sized project for sustainable land management project focused sustainable agriculture and the control of soil erosion and loss of soil fertility on sloping, rainfed agricultural lands. Training targeted UNDP country staff, government officers and national consultants. Provided direct support to the problem analysis and drafting of an initial log frame.  2005 and 06. ’05

Biodiversity Strategy Development Drafted a guidebook for the development of national biodiversity strategies and action plans based on my work assisting national planning teams. Guidebook was distributed at the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity in May 98. Assisted national strategy development on 11 missions to nine countries including three missions to Rwanda in 1997 and 1998.

Agroforestry and Soil Conservation Reviewed sector activities and made recommendations for an agroforestry/soil conservation extension program for enhancing agricultural sustainability. Employed by xxx under USAID funding in 2001.

Agroforestry Extension Training        Principal Trainer for a two-week technical and communications-focused workshop for NGO, government services and donor personnel in 1990.

 National Environmental Action Plan  I was an environmental planning specialist on one of Rwanda’s attepts at preparing an national environmental action plan. I assisted five teams of national specialists to identify and analyze environmental issues and to prepare a national environmental strategy and action plan. 1989.
